Join us every Third Thursday of each month from 12:15 to 1:15 pm online. Add these dates to your calendar as a reminder. CME will be provided to all who register in advance. Registration and CME are compliments of Butte-Glenn Medical Society and Enloe Medical Center.

We’re launching with a 7-part series on Oncology, but welcome all ideas for future virtual grand rounds. Our vision is to connect information between specialists and primary care physicians in our region, especially as advancements in medicine can happen quickly. June 18 – Translating Oncology: Latest Developments
Mandy Robertson, MD is the Director of Enloe Medical Center’s Hematology Oncology Department. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine for Medical Oncology and Hematology. Dr. Robertson will share what’s new in oncology in the last decade. With so many new treatments and immunotherapies, Dr. Robertson will help get you up to speed.
July 16 – Thyroid Nodules and Cancer
Kimberly Kinder, MD is an otolaryngologist at Enloe Medical Center. She will discuss the workup and treatment of thyroid nodules, focusing on changes over the past 10 years. Primary care providers will learn where and when to refer patients with thyroid disease. The talk will also include information on the different types of thyroid cancer and their treatment.
August 20 – Pancreatic, Biliary and Liver Surgical Program
Keith Cavaness, DO, joined Enloe Medical Center’s Surgical Oncology team and is building a new program based on data showing a growing need in Northern California. Dr. Cavaness will explain new surgical procedures and how these are making a difference in patient’s lives.
September 17 – Living with Cancer and New Developments in Chronic Care in Cancer Patients
Robert Randolph, MD will share how Stage 4 cancer treatments have advanced, how patients are living longer.
October 15 – Improving Patient Care with Virtual Tumor Boards
Jonathan Clark, MD will discuss ways to improve patient care, with a focus on how using remote and virtual, multidisciplinary tumor boards can improve communication between providers and help improve patient care and outcomes.
November 19 – Precision Medicine in Oncology
Find out how genomic medicine including genetic mutations and molecular profile testing of tumors can personalize cancer therapies. Mandy Robertson, MD will detail advancements in Precision Medicine made in the past few years.
December 17 – New Immunotherapies in Oncology
Dron Gauchan, MD, specializes in Oncology and Hematology at Enloe Medical Center. Dr. Gauchan will take a deep dive into new immunotherapies, discuss how they work, where they are utilized and their unique side effects that you should know about.
